Used Car Market Set To Grow In 2007

The news of Tata Small Car Project running into trouble in West Bengal has not deterred the used car market as it promises to grow by leaps and bounds in the New Year. The industry estimates have indicated that the market for used cars in India grew by about 25%-30% in the year 2006 that is roughly the same as the sales-growth of new cars in India. The figures make sense too. After all, we are talking about a country that has shown one of the best economic performances in the past few years. And a country that boasts of 300-million strong middle class people whose economic graph is on a swing.

The used car market in India has received a boost in India mainly because of the ease with which one can buy/sell cars in India. If you intend to buy used cars in India, all you have to do is either advertise it in the classifieds or alternatively, contact a used car dealer who can easily find you a buyer willing to pay a good price for your vehicle. This entails into reduced re-sale value of the used cars and a surge in the used cars for sale in India.

With the economist Prime Minister at the helm, at least for another couple of years, we can expect further fall in the prices of used cars. And if you have not planned your next used car purchase, better do it now because the low prices are gonna lure you anytime!
